Community Scholarship Foundation of La Canada Flintridge

The Community Scholarship Foundation of La Cañada Flintridge has a long-standing reputation for awarding scholarships to seniors at La Cañada High School. The awards, ranging from $500 to $1500, are intended to assist those students with high character and motivation. Seniors intending to pursue their education beyond the secondary school level, including two-year accredited trade or technical schools, should apply.

Scholarships will be granted on the basis of personal characteristics and motivation. References, GPA and Financial need will also be a consideration. Copies of the application form are available through Naviance and the College and Career Resource Center (CCRC) of La Cañada High School. The completed application, FAFSA, and 2007 income tax returns must be received by the Foundation by Thursday, April 17, 2008 for consideration. Judy Boggs Memorial Internship

The United Democratic Headquarters is soliciting applications and
nominations for the Judy Boggs Memorial Internship. In memory of Judy
Boggs, ACT will award a stipend of $3,000 to an outstanding student to
intern at the Pasadena Area United Democratic Headquarters during the
2008 November election cycle. Applicants must be in good standing at a
college or university, demonstrate an interest in good government and
electoral politics; possess a commitment to progressive issues and
political grassroots participation.

The goals of the program are: to provide experience in all aspects of a
local campaign; to provide an opportunity to meet and work with
candidates and elected officials. Please submit a letter of application
