As a member of the PTSA, students may earn scholarships at the state, first district, and local PTSA levels. The application for the $500 state PTSA scholarship can be found at http://www.capta.org/sections/programs/high-school-grad.cfm. All applications are due by February 1 and require a letter of recommendation from a high school faculty member and a community member. Both must be written specifically for this scholarship, which will require some advance planning. Additionally, you will have to get your PTSA membership card from Mrs. Gregg. The LCHS PTSA Scholarship applications are currently being revised, but will not be due until April 1. The LCHS Scholarship Committee, chaired by Mary Ashford, will select one student to be considered for the First District scholarship.
